Swell Guy is a charming 1946 crime-comedy that follows the misadventures of a likable, but down-on-his-luck ex-convict, played by Charles Lang. Upon his release from prison, he finds himself caught up in a web of deceit and mistaken identity. Trying to start fresh, he inadvertently becomes involved in a case of murder and blackmail, all while trying to clear his name and win the trust of a woman who believes he's guilty.
